Well, it happened, FINALLY.
Indian leadership's patience just gave up on Pakistan's constant fingerings. So they decided to do what no Indian leadership had done in past three decades and went public with latest counter terrorism operation conducted by Indian Army's elite Paratrooper force inside Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. The operation is not new, what's new is the fact that this time Indian leadership decided to go public and let the world know that "India did it".
It came out as a surprise to many Indians, World at large and of course our neighbors to our immediate west. As Indian stock markets took a plunge thereby eroding your truly's humble wealth, the world took notice of India's latest DiploMilitary offensive against Pakistan. The best part being people stuck to their jobs. Commandos executed terrorists while they were gearing up to pole vault into India, diplomats rounded up their counterparts from countries that matter for briefings and politicians did what they find very hard to do - they kept their mouth shut.
What followed the press briefing by Director General of Defense Operations was anybody's guess. Indian media erupted, so much so that breaking news almost broke television sets and we could sense news anchors virtually crawling out of them, ala - The Ring. The social media for once felt bipartisan and it became virtually impossible to differentiate between a bhakta and a sikular. Both had a field day trolling Pakistani trolls who were seething under this latest humiliation by a Hindu India. And the Chappan Inch ki Chati became Ek Sau Chappan Inch over the span of a trolls workday.
As the day progressed, and the world started taking notice of what had happened, Pakistanis started looking visibly flustered by the mere thought of Indian Forces being able to come inside their controlled territory, wipeout a chunk of their deep assets and go back unhurt. Something that they were told was unfathomable. So the Pakistani leadership(we know who), decide to do what they do best - they denied. The statements from them ranged from nothing happened, they could not do it, we would never let that happen again to Indians are lying about their casualties and the biggest one being show us the proof that you did it.
The last bit of this denial got picked up by Pakistan's media and social media trolls and they ran with it like a Pitbul on a drug overdose. So much so that they created memes and went cross posting on every web touch-point they could lay their hands on. Pakistan Army spotted the opportunity and did what they do the best with their Prestitutes. They started planting videos of multiple Indian posts getting targeted by Pakistan shelling and those turned out to be fake. The next step they took was hilarious, they arranged for a safari for select media personnel to the places they claimed were not attacked by Indian Comandos. One begs the question, how does Pakistan army know that these are the places where attacks did not happen if the attacks did not happen at all?
The latest bit in Pakistan Army's media campaign is cajoling India to release RAW footage of the operation. This is one thing that you will find every Pakistani media and social media troll harping on for past 24 hours. Thats' their go to in any conversation around everything Indian these days. Something that an average Indian on social media or on traditional media is finding difficult to counter. So everyone is looking at Indian intelligence agencies with some home hope that some sensitive information will be leaked for benefit of a patriotic Indian Troll who can use it to troll the trolls.
What happens if Indian agencies scumb to this psychological war and release the footage or some photographs to satisfy the aam janta? There is no simple answer to it. But here is a couple of scenarios that can play out.
India supplies, Pakistan denies
When was the last time Pakistan accepted that the terrorists conducting activities against India are their strategic assets? Pakistan pushed kabailis into Kashmir in 1947-48 and kept on telling the world that it was a local mass uprising, Pakistan sent regular soldiers dressed as local militants in 1965. Pakistan prepped up Khalistani terrorists in Punjab. There were Pakistani soldiers that got killed at Kargil 1999 and are still buried in India. Pakistan even denies that Ajmal Kasabh was a Pakistani even though their own media found his family living in Pakistan's Punjab. Attack after attack, India has supplied enough evidence, From DNA samples to identity cards to the weapons terrorists were carrying. Did Pakistan ever said "Yes we are behind these terrorist attacks".
So what do you think is going to happen this time. Do you think Pakistan is going to have a change of heart and they will walk up and say, OK we did it and we are sorry and we will never do this again? If any Indian thinks Pakistan will accept, he/she should get his mental balance checked including a so called Chief Minister of a Half State who wanted to play smart and get political mileage out of an extremely sensitive geopolitical situation the country is in right now. Pakistan will deny like they always have and India will lose this game of who blinks first.
Everyone that needs to know the details of the operations including 22 countries that run the world know what happened. All those matter have been shown enough evidence, hence you don't see a stupid comment coming in from G20 and allied countries asking for RAW footage to be made public.
Another thing that no one wants to understand is the fact that there was a huge amount of technical assets deployed during the operation and those assets generated a huge amount of intelligence that can be used by India forces going forward. From India satellites to drones to body cameras, all captured critical information regarding the terrain, Pakistani posts positioning, and the route taken by Indian Para-comandos to get in and out of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. That is a sensitive data that needs to be guarded like a snake that sits on its eggs. The moment Pakistani establishment gets hold of this footage/photographs, the first thing that they will do is to identify the gaps in their deployments and plug them thereby robbing Indian forces any opportunity to spring another ones of these surgical strikes or put traps on these routes that can kill our soldiers next time India plans such an operation. Even worse could be if they use it to train their non state actors to use the same tactics to infiltrate into India and kill more Indians.
Let me take you back to the famous Osama Bin Laden Operation that America conducted against Pakistan. Americans took every bit of information they could collect from the compound Osama bin laden was killed, heck they even took the CDs of porn movies that he old man used to watch to get an hard on. They destroyed their own chopper that could not be used and was hit during the operation and rigged it to explode into bits. Has America released a single RAW footage of Osama Bin Laden Operation. Pakistan denied that operation as well so why would it be different this time around. Do you think your Indian ego is bigger that an American ego. Google all you want but you will not find a single RAW footage of Osama Bin Laden operation in public domain. Pakistanis ridiculed Americans just the way the are doing to India. Americans soaked it up, India should also do the same.
Bottom line is, no troll war , no media war, no dam argument is worth winning if it comes at the cost of my country losing a war against our enemy. So next time a Pakistani troll utters these magical words "show us the proofs" suck it up, show him the middle finger and suck it up. Because India's national security is million times bigger than your troll ego.
